FAQ

Q: What is a Virtual Assistant?
A: A Virtual Assistant is an independently contracted office professional that is capable of performing the same administrative tasks and services as in-house staff.  However a VA works remotely from their own offices and are fully connected using Internet-based technology, telephone, and fax. Thereby making it cost-effective for the client as there are no human resource and tax issues, office, and equipment hassles.  The client pays only for actual work completed, not vacation, sick leave, lunch, or any other non-productive time.

Q: What are the role definitions for both Client and Virtual Assistant?
A: One of the most common misconceptions of a Virtual Assistant is that they are an employee of the client. They are, in fact, in business for themselves and, like the client, strive to grow their business to make a profit, not just earn a living wage. Therefore Virtual Assistants are considered to be an independent contractor.

Q: What About Privacy & Confidentiality Agreements?
A: Remote Admin Services takes confidentiality very seriously. We will not reveal any information to anyone without your express written consent.

Q: What Forms of Payment Do You Accept? What Are The Net Terms?
A: We accept Company Check, Bank Check, and credit card payments through PayPal. Depending on the scope of the work, you will receive an invoice either at the end of the project or monthly.  Payment is due 30 days from date of invoice. Failure to pay on time will result in a 1.5% penalty fee per month.

Q: Do You Give Discounts For Retainer Hours? Non-Profits?
A: Yes, depending on the monthly amount of hours needed.  There is a three month minimum commitment.  After the allocated discounted hours are used up, you will be billed at the regular rate. If it appears that going over the discounted rate is an ongoing issue, the contract may be renegotiated.  Unused hours cannot be rolled over to the next month. Non-profit organizations receive a discount provided they show proof of their status.
